Sampaguita Performing Arts Group

Are you into the arts? The Sampaguita Performing Arts Group might be for you! The group is the resident performing arts group of the Victoria Filipino Canadian Association, and it specializes in Philippine folk and contemporary dance, music, and theater.

As covid-19 restrictions are slowly beginning to ease, we, members of the Sampaguita Performing Arts Group, are inviting new members to join and share their talent in dancing, singing, acting, or playing any musical instrument, directing, or even arts and craft making. Our regular rehearsal is every Sunday from 5:00pm to 6:30pm.

As part of the VFCA's mission to promote and celebrate Filipino culture and traditions through education, cultural programs, events, and community engagements, the group also delivers classes and workshops to the kids, youth, and adults, and we actively collaborate with schools and other organizations for cultural sharing opportunities. 

We are also proud to announce that the group is housed by the Bayanihan Community Center which is currently being renovated and transformed into a cultural arts studio! This development will help us in carrying out our mission, honing our craft in the arts, and sharing our beautiful culture within Vancouver Island and beyond!
