Get Ready for Something New at Mabuhay! Festival 2026

We’re thrilled to introduce Francis G. Matheu as the Project Manager for Mabuhay! Celebrating Filipino Heritage Month 2026, the 9th annual Mabuhay Festival in Victoria.

Francis brings strong experience in event coordination, volunteer engagement, and arts leadership, along with a deep connection to Victoria’s Filipino community. Holding an MFA in Directing from the University of Victoria, he has led theatre productions and community events that highlight storytelling, culture, and creativity.

This year, everyone has something new to look forward to! Francis’ vision for Mabuhay! is to deepen community connections while expanding the festival’s reach and accessibility. Attendees can look forward to traditional and contemporary music and dance, culinary heritage, community storytelling, and opportunities for local artists, youth, and small businesses to shine. Mabuhay! 2026 will revitalize and reimagine the festival with fresh programming and strengthened community partnerships.
